Day 10.....multiple choice!

Evening Guys,

Mr anonyviewer33 has been in touch once more and he got banned from fifa forums so lets try and guess the reason from multiple choice.

Was it:-

a) Posting a comment mentioning scripting or momentum?

b) Posting a comment slagging of EA's ability to make a footy game?

c) Posting a secret picture of EA's President having sex with a horse? (Male, taking not giving)

d) Having this as his profile signature?

Answers will be tomorrow........no it was actually C, sex with a male horse, how many expected that!

Brings me back to the community please refer me to any videos you have and i will like Mr anonyviewer33 write you up a page stating your own case and points to make on these horse fiddlers!

Day 9.....Special guest and a video.

Morning guys,

I'm pleased to say that Mr anonyviewer33 has excepted my invitation and has put the following:-

"Well there is definite signs of rubber-banding in there... the more you allow your opponent chances the better your AI plays up front & you will get your fair share of scripted chances more often....

If you string a few wins by dominating possession you will get those games where your passes tend to stray a lot -- I mean bordering on unplayable... your game totally becomes unplayable...

Game is quite clearly scripted... I've uploaded my top 5 fav clips regarding scripting & what I experience a lot because I try to play proper football & use actual strategy."
 



                       
This is the perfect example of what were dealing with from this video evidence and all the evidence points to one fact.......money for EA, experienced players have spotted this and its being brought to light, thanks to anonyviewer33 for the great upload and the comments.

Day 8.....The lies and a special shout out.

Afternoon guys,

I've been very ill over the last few days, alot of fluids, fever, puking....just imagine the exorcist and i recreated the movie. So I'm sorry for the delay on this post.

Day 7.....FUT Packs & A Silver Lining.

Evening Guys!

First off apologies on missing a couple of days, crazy stuff with work, decorating the house and a whole other load of boring stuff that needed to be done, can't say it wont happen again but i promise i will always be back.

So back to business.

To kick off i wanted to talk about FUT Gold packs, now being the big idiot that i am i do come across a bit of spare money from time to time and being the bigger idiot that i am i sometimes splash out on buying gold packs in FUT, now i have spent alot of money on packs but i always seem to get the worst of the worst of players, just absolute crap, constantly getting players between 75-82 worth at best 2k, so how are EA working this one?

The short answer I'm afraid is.....i don't have a clue, i really don't, theories get thrown about but there is no patten as such, people have said go and buy between 2am and 5am to beat the peak times but there's no way I'm ever up at that time, what i want from the community this time is to rack your brain and think back to FIFA 12 FUT, now i was never the best trader but I'm sure there is a few of you that are, so is it alot harder to trade this year than last?

My theory on this resorts again back to the coins, EA have addressed what they thought was an issue last year when people traded to make coins up, if they make the coins up to buy a great team it means.......You don't buy FIFA points.

The market has been overloaded with in no uncertain terms shite and the players that make up the most profit when sold are rare but that doesn't stop EA from plastering where ever they can "you could get a team of the week player!" or "team of the year player!" now there worth alot so are very rare which is understandable but surely when you open enough packs you have to be in with a very good shot to get a decent player.

I cant tell you the amount of packs I've bought (if i work that out i will have a break down and cry) but its alot and i mean alot and the players I've had that have been memorable is as follows:-

Sergio Ramos - He went for 125k
Wesley Schneider - He went for about 10k
and a couple of team of the week players, one silver (went for 3k, i was fuming as discarded would go for 6k i think but i think there was server issues)
and gold went for 12k.

And that's it! now i see on youtube very very popular channels and they open packs and get.......yes that's right TOTY players, this is far fetched granted but hear me out.

If you have someone like KSI who has over 1 million subscribers and people watch his videos all day long it's technically promoting fifa 13, he has fun people see this and he is getting awesome players, so now people think "I'm going to give this ago!" how hard would it be for EA to have KSI's ip address and to make it so he gets more often than not great players.

That explained would you do the same in EA's shoes?

On a different note i wanted to bring your attention to something that was never going to be part of my blog but this guy got in touch with me to check out his youtube channel, i get a ton of these and i do my best to see what's happening and i was very surprised to find i laughed my ass off, this guy unlike alot of youtube channels to do with fifa is genuinely funny. Day 5.....What can you rely on?

Evening guys,

Just to follow up on the post of day 4 I wanted to discuss what attributes can you rely on the most?

We all know when things arent going your way everything suffers but to what extent? lets get a list up together and talk about each one.

Speed:- This is one of the aspects that suffers the most, if momentum isn't going your way your in trouble if you rely on this, many many many times i've had a ball played over the top of my back four for them to feel like there running in glue and a make shift average striker to get on the end of it and similiar if i do the same to an opponent my striker feels like he is running on his knees.

Passing:- Tough one this depending on what your trying to do, i think short passes are ok but have ventured off on occasion, long passes do get effected something with a half way power bar can vary greatly.

Dribbling:- Dribbling i find does'nt really get effected, i don't feel like my player can dribble any less effective than if momentum was in play but...............

Ball Control:- Huge Difference, this in my opinion gets effected the most, recieving passes is near impossible when momentum is in play.

Shooting:- Along with ball control this is a joke, the simpliest of chances are squandered by even the best of players.

Keepers:- Does this need mentioning? if your opponent shoots in the 45th or 90th minute then you might as well not have a keeper.

Day 4.....The Shocking Truth!!!

So my last post promised what the ramifications would be if attributes didn't matter in FUT so let's delve into this a little deeper.

Let's start with a player who wants to improve his team, the player is winning most matches but on the last couple of matches his side against a few opponents have felt sluggish (or at least it seems this way) so what does he do? he goes and spends his coins on a few players he thinks will improve his squad, it doesn't.

He has now started to lose a few matches more than he used to and his coins are in short supply, his team isn't worth alot so what options does this particular FIFA player have? keep playing and lose more often than not and save up the coins? maybe but who likes losing? so what decision am i really pushing this player towards?

The player holds strong after playing a few match's and thinks any player that's going to make a difference is ridiculously expensive so let's take the action of pot luck and opens 7500 coin gold pack, he gets 4 players that run between 75-80 rating worth combined 2000 coins if he sells them or discards them.

So now the player thinks i have no coins, I'm losing quite a bit but let's give this imaginary player an iron will so he plays a few seasons and manages to get together 15000 coins, he then buys 2 more packs and again the same outcome, this player is very frustrated at this point, he wants a better team! he is losing more and more, he is looking at relegation from his division. He has a half decent team but it still feels like its not enough.

He finally gives in and spends £4.25 on FIFA points and opens up a few packs and low and behold he picks up bale for instance, well this decision has made our player think that gold packs are well worth it and with the likes of bale in the team it's given his squad a big boost on the left.

He now thinks, I've got a great player and i wont spend anymore money as my team is strong enough to hold there own and for a couple of seasons this is the case......but it starts to happen again, he starts to lose, its dawned on him i need an amazing team to get to the level i was.

He spends more money and gets a better team but it's making little to no difference on the outcome, he holds possession in most games, has more shots, has the better chances but hits the post alot, sky's the ball, shoots wide a great deal and his defence seem to be all over the place, does this sound familiar?

Well if this story is true does it matter who you have in your squad? well to answer this question i think it does to a very small extent, I'm not saying a team of 49 rated bronze players with a chemistry of 15 could beat a team of the year squad with 100% team chemistry.

So what factors effect matches, who would get the momentum in a match, who would get the advantage? well my personal opinion this would effect the match the most:-

How your doing in your league, so many people have reported winning there first 3-4 games in a FUT season then go on to crumble and miss out on the big bonus by winning the league.

Reason:- The more coins you earn the less you spend on Fifa points = less money for EA.

This brings me to another point, why do EA take a slice of the coins from the players you sell? strange don't you think, well again this falls on the answer above.

I don't think it matters who you have in your team, what matters is your situation at the time. With this being the case the big question is......Are EA breaking the rules of trading standards? your paying for a player with certain stats that don't actually perform, if you buy a product that says it does certain things and you test it out after buying it and it doesn't do what it says it can do? you return it with the receipt right? well why is this situation any different? If stats don't matter and EA admit to momentum (effecting the way your purchased product performs) how much money would they have to give back? the answer is millions, ever wondered why they ban this subject on there forum?

Day 3 and i won on FUT.....wait did I?

Evening everyone,

So tonight i played a few games and i won all 4 but this got me thinking......did i really win?

The thought behind this post is the satisfaction i used to feel after beating an opponent on fifa, the first 2 games i dominated my opponents and it seemed a fair deal but the last 2 my opponents in my view were better, they knocked the ball around, kept possession but it seemed no matter what they tried they couldn't break me down but with all 4 games i didn't get that feeling that I've bested my opponent, i got the feeling like i do on all of my games now that does it matter what i do?

The easiest way to explain how FUT is, is to imagine a 100m sprint, you there? good, now you and your opponent  are at the start and depending on what factors you have (team strength, fifa level, manager, chemistry, league position, etc...) there is a wind machine effecting your lane, now it is possible to win but if the wind machine is on full blast its extremely difficult, sound frustrating? FUT is a race where your running in mud and your opponent on concrete.

I say factors effect the performance of your team and this is true but for all the wrong reasons, a manager boosts your team chemistry, a better team gives you the ability to beat your opponent in terms of strength, speed, skill, shooting, heading etc.... also backroom staff boost your percentages for the above attributes ^, so many times i come across a team without a manager which means its impossible to have 100% chemistry so why do it? i come across people filling there team with amazing players and filling there bench with bronze players again what for? i even come across hybrid silver teams who give me a better match than most gold but unless I'm playing someone who is exceptional at fifa they shouldn't have any chance what so ever with the attributes of there players compared to mine, so the next question is do the attributes of your FUT really matter?

That's it for today guys but tomorrow i will delve into an alarming thought that if the attributes don't matter what would this mean? keep posted because it will be shocking on what it leads to.

Day 2 and still angry.....

Evening guys!

Just finished a long day at work and bathed the baby boy and wanted a quick kick about on FIFA, yet again i was beaten but it got me thinking this time after starting this blog:- what were the past FIFA's like?

I slate FIFA 13 and EA deserve everything they get for the way they have disappointed us all this year but was it always this way on FIFA 13? see around the month of October i started to lose a hell of alot more, my rate was 1 in 10 losses up until October but thinking back have i got worse? have my opponents got better? my first seven seasons i won all leagues and had very good stats but it turned October and the the flood gates opened and i was in trouble, below is a list of things i think have changed hence the losses we have suffered alot more often:-

1) Passes - See this is quite an important one for me, i seem to recall that if you passed with your back turned to the direction you wanted to pass it, it would have a very high risk of it travelling in a direction you didn't want it to, i love keeping possession, i think its why i class myself better than average, yet it now seems no matter what direction your facing you can ping a pass 40 yards with your back turned and not seem to worry but that brings me to another very annoying passing aspect, if a player can hit a 40 yard pass along the floor......why cant he pass to a player that 4 yards away? it almost seems like each thing you do has a scenario planned, hit a 4 yard pass to your fellow midfielder and it will be very slow and the scenario plays out that the other teams midfielder intercepts. Passing has been dumbed down to help the amateur player compete against the more experienced player.

2) Shooting - I'm not quite sure about this one, let me explain, i wanted to test finesse shooting at long distance (i say long distance but it was just outside the area) i chose the best long distance shooter on the game Ronald koeman from the all star team and proceeded to try and curl one into the top corner, just bare in mind that the player being used has 98 long shooting accuracy and i couldn't do it, time and time again it went wide or went directly at the keeper.
The reason i stated I'm not sure was because i don't think it was ever part of FIFA 13 but part of FIFA 12 and one of the best parts, when i curled in a top corner finesse shot it was a good feeling and looked great when it went in but finesse in this game....well it looks like its exclusively for close range shooting.

3) Pressuring - Now you may disagree with me here but holding down a couple of buttons to pressure an opponent is ridiculous, why play a game where you want the computer to do the work? both FIFA 11 & FIFA 12 had an option to chase down an opponent which if you were a good enough player it could spell trouble for your opponent as it left them with gaping holes on the playing field yet FIFA 13 puts this tactic in and even encourages it, i used to test what my opponent was like by stopping dead and seeing what reaction my opponents player had, if he started to drift left and right in a snake like motion and not come directly to me i knew it was a player using this tactic, its something i cant stand and its something i wont use.

4) FUT - Now this is a big one, ultimate team is catered for the player who wants a better team (fair enough) my problem though is trying to make players think there team isn't good enough and to buy packs, now i will admit i have used cold hard cash to fast track my way to a better team (come on we have all done it) but when i was there things started to happen, my team started to play like they were a Sunday league team after a heavy night out the only thing that was missing was players vomiting from the beer the night before, at first i thought "well maybe I've become complacent" so......i sold my whole team and made about 350,000 coins, i went from a very strong 4-3-1-2 premier league team to a 4-3-3 la liga team that was still very good but yet i had the same outcome. I then thought i used to be good when my team were average what the hell happened?! EA happened, they have coded the game specifically to make you want to spend money and unfortunately veteran players have seen straight though this and like myself are upset.

The 1st of many.

Hi guys!

Welcome to the first post of the Fifa 13 momentum blog, I'm sure all experienced fifa players have experienced this in a huge way especially when it come to FUT (fifa ultimate team) and it's something i would like a wider audience to voice there (horror) stories and opinions on.

Little bit about myself, I'm 30 years old, love my wife and 11 week old son and work hard all week also I'm an avid gamer especially with sports games, i started with pro evolution soccer on the PS1 (my opinion one of the best footy games ever made, hit me up with old names if you remember them from the game) and for a few years i stayed with the series up until pro evo 2009 more to do with the online issues, i did buy fifa as it was out a little before pro evo and i thought it will tide me over, i was impressed and pro evo was a shocking disappointment, since then its been fifa all the way........but fifa 13 is beyond any anger I've felt before.

There's plenty of evidence against EA over momentum including disgruntled ex employees releasing documents stating how it works, and the overwhelming evidence we see right in front of our eye's over 45th minute and 90th minute goals again its beyond infuriating as even the crappiest of players can hold there own with a mediocre team.

So what i want from the experienced community of fifa is the stories, the uploaded youtube videos, the snap shots, even the messages from the average players messaging you after beating you with them really believing there better.
